Come Alive UK: ‘Mental Health Support Specialist’ launches in Scotland.

Posted: 30th June 2020

A new company specialising in mental health support for businesses has launched today.  A joint venture between two of Scotland’s well-known mental health specialists, Scott Newby (NewbyCore Consulting) and Catriona Davies (Resolution Mediation Scotland), seeks to transform the culture around mental health within companies and organisations.

Commenting on the new venture, which received support from Scottish Enterprise, Newby said: “Catriona and I have very similar values and passion for the importance of positive Mental Health – a passion we feel is particularly important within the workplace.”

He continued: “Over the last 12 months or so, we have worked together as business partners, carrying out extensive research, to create a model of support for organisations. We firmly believe the model of support we have developed, will provide insight and solutions, to creating a positive mental wellbeing culture within the workplace. As well as being absolutely the right thing to do for colleague welfare, this approach will result in a motivated workforce, increased productivity and reduced costs.”

Come Alive UK was scheduled to go live in March this year, but due to Covid-19 the decision was made to delay this until a later date. Both Newby and Davies feel passionately that now it is the right time to go live.

Davies said: “It is because of my own experience and belief that mental wellbeing is such a fundamental in our life, that Scott and I have created Come Alive UK, to break down some of those barriers within workplaces and provide that crucial support. We both bring a unique blend of skills and experiences to Come Alive UK, so that effective and high-quality interventions are at the heart of all the services that we offer.”

Davies continued: “Over the coming months as we all adjust to the new normal, the importance of colleague wellbeing and creative working solutions are more important than ever. Our services are available remotely, so we can begin immediately, supporting organisations far and wide.”
