Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland Launches Thrilling Stadium Soar at Barclays Hampden
Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) is inviting thrill-seekers to leap into a new challenge at Scotland’s national football stadium next year.
The Stadium Soar at Barclays Hampden takes place on February 26-28 giving participants the opportunity to zipline nearly 500 feet across the famous pitch.
Every place booked will help CHSS support the one in five people across Scotland living with chest, heart and stroke conditions and Long Covid. Money raised will fund services including the charity’s Advice Line, support groups, stroke nurses and rehabilitation support.
Lynsey Hamilton, Senior Events Manager at CHSS, said: “The Stadium Soar at Barclays Hampden is a brilliant opportunity to see the stadium from a completely new perspective while doing something extraordinary for people across Scotland.
“Every participant who takes on the zipline and raises vital funds will help us provide practical advice, rehabilitation and support so that people living with chest, heart and stroke conditions and Long Covid can live life to the full. We cannot wait to welcome fundraisers for an unforgettable weekend.”
Jacquelyn Stewart, Head of Stadium at Barclays Hampden, said: “We are delighted to welcome CHSS to Barclays Hampden for their Stadium Soar event. The Scotland team has had supporters on cloud nine a few times but a zipline gives supporters a new, exciting way to experience one of the country’s most historic, iconic venues. We’re thrilled to be hosting such a special event.”
Registration costs £30 and participants are asked to raise £250 in sponsorship. The minimum age is 12, and anyone considering taking part should check the event restrictions before registering.
