Charity’s Carols at Christmas returns
St Andrew’s and St George’s West church will once again host the heart-warming Carols at Christmas concert from Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS), returning on Thursday December 1st.
The perfect way to ease yourself in to the Christmas season, arrive to a mince pie and warming drink and then settle in for an evening which sees the St Andrew’s and St George’s West choir perform classic carols and Christmas songs you can join in with.
There will also be a special appearance from the Edinburgh Cheyne Gang Choir, a support group affiliated to CHSS who all sing as part of their management of the chest condition COPD.
Chiara Alagia, Assistant Fundraiser at CHSS said of the night, “We’re really looking forward to kicking off the Christmas season with our Carols at Christmas concert. A warming drink and mince pie reception will begin from 6pm with the carols beginning at 7pm. There will also be a few short festive readings and a moment to reflect and think of loved ones as stars are placed on the tree. You can sponsor a personalised star for a suggested donation of £5 which can be booked in advance for placement, or purchased on the night.”
Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland would love to welcome you, your friends and family to their celebration at Christmastime. Tickets cost £10 and can be booked by visiting www.carolsatchristmas.com, calling 0300 1212 333 or emailing events@chss.org.uk.
Doors will open on the night at 6pm for a 7pm start, due to finish at approximately 8.15pm. After the event stars will be photographed and emailed to those who wish, and the stars will then be displayed on the tree in CHSS head office for all visitors to see at reception.
