Central Taxis Coronavirus update
An update for all our customers and the public generally.
Hope you are well. Appreciate that this may not be relevant to all of you due to type of business and enforced closure (apologies if so) but just in case of use an update following some questions this morning from customers.
Our understanding is that as a transport provider Central Taxis will continue operating as normal and both taxis and call centre are available.
In line with multiple passengers on other forms of public transport (at this point) we will continue to carry normal passenger numbers in a vehicle but recommend you consider Government advice, and of course your internal guidance, and minimise where possible.
Likewise we are available to assist with transportation of supplies, equipment and other courier type services. From what we believe courier services are very busy and we have had several businesses open accounts specifically for this so again in case of use letting you know.
Best advice on that is to call 0131 229 2468 and let the telephonist know the details and they can advise accordingly.
You will all know yourselves the announcement was somewhat top line and will require further clarification but, based on all available information currently, we would expect to continue operating as normal. Or as close to normal as anyone can currently.
We are liaising ongoing with our contacts ongoing and will update should anything here change.
As before drivers continue to sanitise vehicles and we strongly recommend use of contract, App or contactless payment to minimise any potential for infection.
In line with Government advice we ask you to consider if your travel is essential before doing so.
Part of the ‘new’ world is that nobody is quite sure of the can/cant do’s so if you have any questions just ask. We will assist however we can.
