Celebrate the magic of Christmas at Ocean Terminal
Ocean Terminal is officially all decked out for Christmas with a variety of fun activities taking place this month across the centre that involve the entire family. So, whether you’re looking to entertain the kids, or need some alternative Christmas shopping inspiration, there’s something for everyone.
Santa is returning this year to his wonderful alpine style log cabin on the first floor of the centre, where he will meet boys and girls and hear what’s on their wish list for Christmas. Each child will receive a small gift from Santa, as well as the chance to have their photos taken with the man himself. He will be greeting children up till Christmas Eve when he will have to disappear to finalise deliveries with the reindeers and elves.
This year there is also the addition of an interactive Christmas Activity Book Trail on the ground floor where children can discover their Elf name or post a letter to Santa and there’s a mini funfair next to Santa’s Grotto with Bungee Trampolines and a Helter Skelter. Visitors can also grab a Festive Selfie with all the family in a special candy cane themed backdrop located on the first floor.
And if the adults are still struggling for present ideas the Christmas Market will be taking place throughout December*. A variety of independent makers and producers will be showcasing their products on the ground floor near Costa. The market is predominantly a makers’ market, with great quality handcrafted gifts as well delicious food and drinks.
Michelle Macleod, Centre Manager at Ocean Terminal said, “It’s wonderful to see the centre looking so festive and be able to welcome families across the community to visit, shop, relax and have some Christmas fun together.”
