Carbon Financial tees-up golf club package
FINANCIAL advice and investment firm Carbon Financial Partners has teed-up a ground-breaking “Premier Partner” package with a leading Scottish golf club.
The capital company’s support for Blairgowrie Golf Club, which hosted the 2014 Junior Ryder Cup, includes backing for initiatives aimed at nurturing the next generation of golfing talent.
Former club champion Bradley Neil is enjoying his first season on the European Tour, inspiring younger members hoping to follow in his footsteps.
This season, club scorecards will feature the Carbon logo and their European Tour ambassador, Edinburgh based pro Richie Ramsay.
Managing director Gordon Wilson said: “We have enjoyed links with Blairgowrie Golf Club through our support for the Bill McLaren Foundation Golf Day in recent years. We are looking forward to enjoying an even closer relationship going forward.
“The profile of the golf club has never been higher, in the wake of successfully hosting the 2014 Junior Ryder Cup, and this summer Blairgowrie welcomes the inaugural Barrie Douglas Scottish Junior Masters and the Scottish Men’s Amateur Championship.”
Blairgowrie hosts the Scottish Men’ Amateur from July 31-August 5, for the third time in seven years. European Tour and Ryder Cup player star Andy Sullivan captured the 2011 Strokeplay title.
Welcoming the tie-up with Carbon, Blairgowrie captain Brian Wesencraft said: “This is a first for the club, bringing together two respected, award-winning brands.
“We will be working closely with Carbon and they will be supportive of our various junior golf initiatives.”
