At this time of year many businesses consider donating to charity or supporting one of the national initiatives that invariably pop up on our TV screens over the festive period.

Or perhaps it’s worth thinking about if you really need to send Christmas cards to clients, suppliers, and contacts. Why not instead help save the planet and donate the money otherwise spent on cards, envelopes, and stamps to a good cause?

The Christmas Raffle, operated through Charity Escapes, is something a little bit different. It’s a win, win offering a charity donation together with the opportunity for staff to be involved in the draw for a great prize.

The 2021 ‘Christmas Raffle’ sees Vertu Motors, which also operates as Macklin Motors in Scotland, offering the top prize – this time a MINI One 3-door Classic Hatchback in Moonwalk Grey, with an RRP of £17,405.

Working in partnership with Raffolux, the online fundraising enables businesses and individuals to either support all the charities taking part, donate to one of the more than 30 charities involved or for corporate donations to nominate a company’s chosen charity. The charity will receive 100% of the donation.

What better way to spread some cheer this Christmas, give staff the chance to win a great prize and help the charity sector, whose fundraising has been decimated by the pandemic.

Entrepreneur Jeremy Middleton CBE founded Charity Escapes, which has raised more than £500,000 for charity. The Great Northern Raffle was launched in 2020 to offer charities a fundraising platform to help compensate for the lack of ‘live’ events, which Charity Escapes supports with prizes.
