Business Fives is moving indoors for the winter

Posted: 1st November 2016

After the success of the summer edition, Business Fives, Scotland’s national business five-a-side tournament moves indoor for the winter ahead of Business Fours, the golf edition in spring.

The date for the Professional Services heat once again in conjunction with the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce is the 17th November at the fantastic World of Football venue at the Corn Exchange. Geoghegans CA are the reigning Professional services champions, does your firm have what it takes to beat them?

Liz McAreavey, CEO of Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce said “We wholeheartedly support the tournament and encourage business to get involved. Is there a better combination – have fun, get fit and help others?”

For the indoor edition Business Fives will be supporting the work of Street Soccer Scotland, David Duke, CEO said: “Street Soccer Scotland are delighted to be given the opportunity to partner with Business Fives. The money raised from the heats and tournaments goes directly to help the work we do 365 days a year with some of Scotland’s most disadvantaged and socially excluded people. We provide weekly, free drop-in sessions in Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Dundee. Working alongside Business Fives allows us to spread our message of achieving social change through sport. Good luck to all those competing!”

As well as a great networking opportunity Business Fives give you the chance to bond with colleagues outside of the office environment.  You can find additional info on the Professional Services heat by downloading the brochure on our website and registering your interest. With teams involved previously from the likes of Anderson Strathern, BT, Shepherd + Wedderburn, Haines Watts, Sportscotland, Murray Capital, Grant Thornton, G & V Hotel etc it’s sure to be a great event.
