Bumper month of promotions for eleven Thorntons employees

Posted: 14th August 2019

One of Scotland’s leading law firms has demonstrated its commitment to supporting employee development with the promotion of eleven solicitors this month.

The promotions have been made across the firm’s Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Fife and Angus offices with seven senior solicitors promoted to associate and four solicitors to senior solicitor.

The four new senior solicitors are Neil McWilliam from Corporate in Dundee, Victoria McLaren from Corporate in St Andrews, Kirsty Lynch from Commercial Property in Edinburgh, and Lee Corr from Dispute Resolution and Claims in Dundee.

Three of the new associates are all from within Residential Property – Lisa Mannion and Steven Drake in Dundee and Graham Taylor in Montrose.

The remaining four new associates are Kirsty Stewart from Intellectual Property in Dundee, Lisa Hainey from Private Client in Cupar, Robin Dunlop from Land and Rural Business in Edinburgh, and Aimee Gibbons in Commercial Property across Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Colin Graham, Chairman at Thorntons, said: “Training and development remains integral to the growth and success of the firm so it’s a real pleasure to announce eleven new promotions.

“Encouraging internal career progression and developing our own talent provides motivation for our colleagues to work hard for clients and the firm as a whole. We’re proud of our full service offering at Thorntons and we’re delighted to recognise the efforts and experience of our teams. Congratulations to our newly appointed associates and senior solicitors.”
