Posted: 20th October 2025

BTO is pleased to announce the appointment of two accomplished Glasgow-based partners, Eoghann Green and Carolyn Bowie, who have joined the firm.

Eoghann Green brings a wealth of expertise as a highly regarded commercial disputes and insolvency litigator. Working closely with litigation partners Angus Wood and Will Cole, he will focus on both corporate and personal insolvency litigation, drawing on extensive experience in high-profile domestic and international cases. A seasoned court practitioner, Eoghann has over a decade of success representing clients in the Sheriff Court, Sheriff Appeal Court and the Court of Session. He is also recognised for his strong track record in complex debt recovery matters and commercial disputes.

Eoghann commented:

“I am looking forward to working at BTO and building on the firm’s reputation for delivering first-class results for clients.”

Meanwhile, Carolyn Bowie expands the scope of BTO’s legal service offering by spearheading the firm’s new immigration law practice. With over 20 years of experience in professional legal services, Carolyn has advised clients ranging from FTSE 100 companies, and multinationals, to private individuals. Her deep expertise strengthens BTO’s ability to provide businesses and individuals with integrated support on immigration, compliance, employment and discrimination issues.

Carolyn said:

“I am excited to have joined BTO to lead the dedicated immigration law service line. Helping clients manage risk in a commercial context is something about which I’m passionate, and I know this team shares my commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for its clients. I believe this is a great fit for us both.”

Grant Hunter, BTO’s Managing Partner, welcomed the new partners saying:

“Eoghann’s highly regarded dispute resolution skills and Carolyn’s commercial insight in immigration law, enhanced by her first-class business qualification, will prove to be tremendous assets to the firm. We are delighted to have them on board and look forward to the considerable value that they will bring to our services and our clients.”
