BTO to headline sponsor Edinburgh Art Fair for third year

Posted: 19th September 2019

The EAF will return this November to the Edinburgh Corn Exchange to celebrate its 15th anniversary with 65 exhibiting galleries from around the UK and abroad and over 500 artists from across the globe.

The EAF will run from Friday 22 – Sunday 24 November 2019. Visitors will discover a fantastic and eclectic array of original artworks including paintings, prints, ceramics, sculpture, glassware and photography from some of the most exciting emerging artists working in the contemporary art world today, through to established and collected Royal Academicians.

David Gibson, Chairman at BTO

Having established itself as Scotland’s premier art fair, the event is expected to attract a footfall in the region of 13,000 and past fairs have seen over one thousand artworks sold annually with a combined selling price of over £1m achieved most years.

David Gibson, chairman at BTO, commented:

“BTO is delighted to be sponsoring the UK’s leading art fair outside of London for a third time. The Edinburgh Art Fair presents an excellent platform for exhibiting artwork from leading contemporary art galleries from within the UK and beyond, and BTO is excited to be part of this important event in the UK’s cultural calendar. We agree with the premise that ‘Art is for Everyone’ and Edinburgh Art Fair affords the opportunity for first time buyers and experienced collectors alike to access original artwork.”

With artwork prices starting at around £100 and reaching £50,000, there is something to suit every budget and friendly and professional gallerists are happy to share their knowledge with visitors.

The Edinburgh Art Shop will also be on hand throughout the weekend offering support and guidance to all the budding artists who visit the Fair through free Art Classes and Open Easel sessions for which The Edinburgh Art Shop will kindly donate all of the art materials used.

Other events to look out for are artist talks and demonstrations as well as the live art sessions.

Tickets can be purchased online (https://www.artedinburgh.com/visitors/tickets) or at the door. Facilities include a professional and complimentary crèche service.
