Friday 29 November 2019 – Leading Scottish law firm BTO Solicitors LLP has announced the appointment of new partner Fraser Hopkins to its construction team.

Highly regarded in his field, Fraser will co-lead the commercial side of BTO’s contentious construction caseload alongside partner Jilly Petrie.

Fraser is the fifth new partner to be recruited by BTO in 2019, in addition to two internal partner promotions.

Referring to the new appointment, BTO’s Chairman, David Gibson, said:

“I am delighted that Fraser has joined us.  He brings real specialist expertise in dispute avoidance and dispute resolution and a passion for construction projects which our clients will value greatly.

“Fraser’s appointment forms part of the general development and refocus of our wider construction team, involving both contentious and non-contentious lawyers. We are always keen to attract new talent and we are also actively recruiting for a non-contentious construction lawyer to slot into our team.”

Fraser said: “I look forward to working with this driven and enthusiastic group to further advance BTO’s construction offering and support our clients across the UK.”
