Miller Homes unveils exceptional new showhome at Bothwellbank

Nestled on the banks of the River Clyde in one of Scotland’s most desirable residential areas, Bothwellbank is a fantastic place to call home. An outstanding development in the Miller Homes portfolio, this new community is home to the housebuilder’s exclusive Premier Collection, which encapsulate luxury living at its finest.

The new Abercromby showhome is the first of its kind in Scotland. The five bedroom property captures the beauty and prestige of the development, designed to the highest quality and standard.

The showhome has its own signature style, which is unlike anything else in the Miller Homes collection. Thoughtfully designed to reflect the area of Bothwell and meet buyers’ aspirations, the Abercromby has a high-end, luxe feel with decadent finishings adding to its opulent sense.

The home has been brought to life by Eileen Kesson, lead designer at Envision Interiors, who discusses the influences behind the showhome, saying: “Inspiration for this showhome has been taken from Hollywood glamour, a style that oozes class and elegance. The home has a timeless feel and we took influences from London’s renowned fashion houses when picking out the soft furnishings and striking pieces of artwork.

“The depth is very much in the detail. Every finishing touch has been well thought-out to encompass the personality of the home. We’ve really pulled out all the stops on this showhome and there’s a grand sense of arrival as soon as you step through the front door.”

There’s an immediate sense of luxury upon entering the hallway, which greets visitors with bespoke, high polished marble tiling from Porcelanosa and monochrome textured wallpaper bringing a touch of warmth.

At the front of the home, the lounge is ornately embellished with timber effect tiling adding a contemporary edge. The room is brought to life by on-trend tones of deep burnt taupe, olive, cream and charcoal paired with a shimmering quartz wallpaper. The room is decorated with eye-catching artwork and a stunning statement bay window floods the space with natural light. A granite fireplace forms the centrepiece of the room and is flanked with bespoke cream sofas, especially chosen and brought to Bothwellbank from London. A glimmering chandelier hangs in the centre of the room, bringing an understated elegance.

A unique conservatory alcove and French doors leading to the garden keep the open-plan ground floor living and dining space bright, bringing the outside in. The alcove is designed as a family area, where buyers can picture life enjoying a morning coffee overlooking the tree-lined River Clyde.

The kitchen, dining and living area creates the perfect setting for cooking, dining and entertaining friends as well as relaxing with family. The kitchen is beautifully streamlined and finished with a high gloss, pale cashmere tone and Arden Blue quartz worktop. The room offers the perfect balance of practicality and style – there’s plenty of worktop space in the kitchen and the adjacent laundry room provides extra storage space.

The dining area adds wow-factor to the room, and offers a space for formal entertaining with a solid dark oak table taking centre stage. Retro velvet dining chairs are modelled on the latest trends from Paris adding a classy touch and a pendant light illuminates the space.

An impressive winding staircase, beautifully lit by a two-storey window, leads the way upstairs to five bedrooms,  and a family bathroom complete with a separate bath and double shower. The additional rooms give buyers the freedom and flexibility to personalise their dream home, with bedrooms four and five providing the perfect space for a cosy snug, study or teen den.

Continuing with the glamorous theme, the master bedroom is a standout feature with tasteful and delicate metallic tones. The room shimmers through velvet and silk soft furnishings and comes complete with double fitted wardrobes and a modern ensuite bathroom with a rain shower. A blown glass lighting feature creates an air of opulence and geometric lamps on either side of the bespoke velvet headboard leave a lasting impression.

Two of the additional bedrooms are accented with a statement wall, from on-trend geometric grey prints to a wood effect textured wallpaper. Eye-catching lighting fixtures add a fashionable edge to each room and bedroom two is beautifully styled with silver and ivory tones with stylish fitted wardrobes and an en-suite shower room, adding practicality.

Unique to the Abercromby is the dressing room, which takes inspiration from Hollywood make-up parlours with deep mauve, gold and dark moody tones. The room features its own velvet sofa, a stunning oak bookcase and a beautiful art deco, brass mirror – inspired by a 1930s dressing room.

The showhome is now available to view and prices for the Premium Collection at Bothwellbank start at £630,000. The Abercromby at Plot 1 is priced at £660,000 and is available with Part Exchange and Miller Homes will cover LBTT costs, saving buyers £39,350.
