Be-IT create dedicated business transformation division
Leading IT recruitment specialists Be-IT are to launch a new transformation division, dedicated to helping businesses manage digital disruption and regulatory change.
The team, who will be based in Glasgow and Edinburgh, will focus primarily on providing expert staff to the financial services sector experienced in effective business change.
Be-IT’s expansion comes after the firm’s latest financial results saw gross profit up by 55% and turnover increase to £11.2 million in their fourth full year of trading.
Managing Director Nikola Kelly believes the new division could be worth 25% of total revenue in the medium term.
She said: “Our business is buoyant, and we see creating this new division as a tremendous opportunity to expand and increase our offering to new and existing clients.
“These are turbulent times for business with disruption being caused by many different factors. Brexit will have a huge impact, not least significant regulatory overhaul, while increasing digitisation is having a profound influence on everything we do.
“Our new division will be able to ensure businesses are able to find the best people to help them deal with these issues.
“We have experience building other teams operating in the same market and are confident this new focus will be of great value to Be-IT.”
Increasing digitalisation in business and public services, cyber protection, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data are all having a significant impact on the UK market place.
Due to the nature of the disruption, Be-IT CEO Gareth Biggerstaff believes the new division will have the opportunity to work across the UK.
He said: “These are challenging and changing times for business. Keeping up to speed with digital technology and regulatory change requires specialist skills and proven experience.
“With Brexit imminent we recognise the increasing regulatory demands that are starting to filter through to our clients and we wish to support them through this period by offering specialist resource that can guide them through potential minefields.”
