Barnardo’s Scotland continues to work and evolve during the current pandemic

Posted: 7th April 2020

In these extraordinary times, Barnardo’s Scotland is sharply focused on continuing to support vulnerable children and families across Scotland, whilst also supporting their amazing staff and volunteers.

Children and families need them now more than ever, and they are working round the clock to adapt their delivery model in these unique circumstances. This includes reaching children and young people on the phone and through appropriate online platforms wherever they can, while making sure they are as safe as possible. They are also working closely with local and national partners across health and social care to meet the needs of local communities.

Like many charities and businesses at this time, their income has been dramatically impacted. They are taking a range of necessary actions to address their financial position including furloughing around 3,000 staff members, reducing expenditure and launching an emergency fundraising appeal.

Support they receive from corporate partners has never been so vital. If your company may be in a position to help in a range of different ways, please do get in touch with Sabrina.hayes@barnardos.org.uk Corporate Fundraising Manager.

How?

Donate to the Emergency Coronavirus Appeal

These unprecedented times are so hard for everyone but for the most vulnerable children and families the consequences of Coronavirus could push them over the edge. Barnardo’s Scotland support is needed now more than ever. Flexible funds to respond to the changing and increasing needs are vital; see further detail on the appeal here: https://bit.ly/2UCxbNO
