Baird Lumsden’s marketing campaign for Whiteside Farm, south east of Falkirk, is drawing lots of interest

Posted: 30th October 2019

The 28.56 acres property, including farmhouse, two outbuildings and grazing land with spectacular views being marketed at offers over £330,000

Whiteside Farm, a 28.56 acre working farm with farmhouse, two outbuildings and grazing land located just south east of Falkirk, Stirlingshire, is being marketed at offers over £330,000 by Baird Lumsden, the rural property arm of DM Hall, one of Scotland’s largest independent firms of chartered surveyors.

With its elevated rural position, Whiteside Farm boasts outstanding panoramic views across to Grangemouth and the firth of Forth. Rarely available on the open market, the current owners have enjoyed the well-presented and orderly property for the last thirty years.

The farm is accessed by a driveway off California Road, Shieldhill, FK1 2BN, which sweeps around to the front of the property providing generous car parking and turning area for cars and agricultural vehicles. The driveway is the only vehicular access point to the house, field and agricultural sheds, thus creating a secure and private property.

The farm cottage, which is in move-in condition and previously had three bedrooms, has been converted to two bedrooms as a means of creating more living accommodation but could readily be re-converted. The cottage has wonderful outlooks to the front and looks over the private enclosed garden to the rear which, alongside the field, attract an abundance of wildlife.

Despite its quiet location, Whiteside Farm enjoys easy access to the urban centres of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Local shopping and schooling are close at hand in nearby Falkirk, while a range of agricultural supply businesses are located in the area.

Jennifer Campbell of Baird Lumsden who is handling the marketing process said: “the combination of a residential property together with good outbuildings and a generous area of land are rarely brought to the market especially in such an accessible and central location. This is a property with enviable boundaries and outstanding views.

“We approached the market seeking offers around £330,000 and so far, we have had an exceptionally high volume of enquiries. Viewing is strictly by appointment only and anyone wishing to know more should contact me, Jennifer Campbell, on 01786 833800 or Jennifer.Campbell@dmhall.co.uk.”
