Albany HR, an Edinburgh-based human resources consultancy, announced on 15 August, 2025 the appointment of two experienced consultants, Susan “Suzy” Friel and Monique Equi. The new hires will join Director Kathleen McAdams to enhance the firm’s capacity to deliver strategic HR solutions for SMEs and large corporations across Scotland.

Suzy Friel brings two decades of senior HR experience, most recently serving as Head of People and Engagement at a global professional services company. Known for her expertise in organisational development, she specialises in performance and potential management, and the design of learning interventions. Her background also includes management roles in global retail banks and investment businesses, making her a versatile leader in navigating complex corporate environments.

Monique Equi joins the team with a unique blend of HR and marketing skills, honed through a decade as a CEO of a local charity. Her experience includes managing volunteer teams, securing diverse funding, and driving community-led projects, giving her valuable insight into the challenges small businesses face. A skilled trainer, Monique is enthusiastic about using real-life examples to help create great workplaces and an engaged workforce.

“We are delighted to welcome Suzy and Monique to the Albany HR team,” said Kathleen McAdams, Director of Albany HR. “Their extensive and diverse experience significantly strengthens our ability to support our clients with bespoke solutions, from employee engagement to culture change.
