Accolades for AM Bid Services at 2017 Chamber Business Awards
AM Bid Services, leading bid and tendering specialist, has been crowned Winner of 2 categories in the Scotland Region heats of the Chamber Business Awards 2017. Now in their 14th year, the Awards are a highlight of the business calendar, recognising the key role that local businesses play in driving the UK economy.
As members of the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, the High Growth Business of the Year and Small Business of the Year winner, AM Bid Services, will now go forward to represent the Scotland region in the national finals, which will take place in London in November.
Francis Martin, President of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) said:
“Businesses are the backbone and driving force of the UK economy. Even in the face of uncertain times, they continue to show their resilience and strength – creating opportunities for employment, investment and growth.
“Our judges are always impressed by the high standard of submissions, and the calibre of entries this year was no different. The finalists in the Chamber Business Awards represent the best of this country’s entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and hard-work.
“The Chamber Business Awards are the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate our business communities’ achievements, to take stock of the outstanding performances of UK businesses over the past year, and to encourage and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.”
Richard Ellis, Head of Membership at the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce (ECC) said:
“I am delighted to see Edinburgh Chamber member, AM Bid Services, announced as winners of not only one, but two regional BCC Awards. They are one of only two Scottish companies to succeed in winning a BCC award this year, and one of only 3 companies in the UK to win 2 awards.
“AM Bid Services joined ECC as a new company in 2015, and over the past two years we have seen them develop and grow into an extremely successful and profitable business, as reflected in their recent accolades.
“I wish Andrew and his team every success in November’s national finals.”
Andrew Morrison, Managing Director of the award winning, AM Bid Services, added:
“AM Bid Services joined the Chamber before we started recruiting our staff. The help, support, networking and training opportunities that active membership of Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce provides have been key elements of our success story.
I must also pay tribute to our very hard-working staff who consistently go the extra mile for clients to help them get the winning edge in their bids.
We are continuing to enjoy rapid growth with the business now benefitting from having the experienced David Sole OBE as our Non-Executive Chairman. I am also proud of how we have given something back to help some local Edinburgh charities with their bidding as well as our support of Josh Quigley, the Tartan Explorer in his suicide prevention and mental health awareness campaigns.”
