£4.5 million Refurbishment to Deliver Prime Headquarter Space in West Edinburgh

Posted: 16th March 2020

On behalf of its shareholders, CEG, is delivering the comprehensive £4.5million refurbishment of Haston House, at South Gyle Business Park in west Edinburgh.

Currently onsite with a full window replacement and exterior decorations. This will be followed by a refurbishment to the interior with modern offices, common and reception areas to include changing rooms, secure bike storage and onsite coffee servery. Set to deliver the highest quality, flexible office suites ranging from 4,000 to 70,000 sq ft. Available as single suites, on a floor by floor basis or self-contained wing for those seeking high quality workspace, the refurbishment will transform Haston House, providing fresh, energy efficient workspace.

Grace Lewis, investment manager at CEG, said: “Our comprehensive refurbishment of Haston House will create flexible, contemporary workspace which will appeal all businesses. We have used our extensive experience in designing workspace with the end tenant in mind, in order to deliver modern, open plan environments which harness productivity helping businesses to attract and retain the best talent. With a focus on wellness, we have created a new benchmark for out-of-town offices.”

Haston House is in a prime location on the city’s bypass with good links to motorway networks. Close to Edinburgh airport and just six miles from the city centre, it has an established transport interchange where trains, buses, trams are within walking distance for staff and visitors.

One of the most successful business locations in Scotland, the Park is already home to BT, Fujitsu, Sainsburys, HSBC and RBS. Facilities include Gyle Shopping Centre boasting retailers such as Marks and Spencer, cafés, restaurants, a children’s nursery, gym and hotel.

The refurbishment is due to complete in autumn 2020. Agents appointed to let the new space include Savills and EYCO.

Mike Irvine, Director of Savills, said: “Edinburgh is a very strong market, with high occupier interest and low availability. By refurbishing Haston House to create the highest quality workspace in a prime location, benefitting from a raft of facilities and exceptional tram, rail, motorway and airport links, we expect strong interest.”

CEG is an investment and property development company and already manages the nearby Stones Business Park which offers three fully-let self-contained office buildings. The company specialises in long-term investment, seeking properties it can improve, creating collaborative business communities specifically designed to help occupiers thrive and grow. Offering flexible lease terms and concierge advice that best suits each individual customer.
