Connect Four

Posted: 8th November 2019

Edinburgh based charity People Know How is marking the launch of the Social Innovation Network with an evening of facilitated discussion between 100+ decision makers from the academic, public, third and business sectors. Together we’ll ‘Connect Four’.

We’re a charity that centres on people and communities to develop innovative approaches and services to address social issues. We have a new Strategic Plan and we’re ready to make a step-change and increase our social impact. We’ve always believed that collaboration brings the greatest results this event will kick start our drive to build on existing partnerships and seek new ones, connecting four sectors to start our journey toward social innovation across Edinburgh and beyond.

Keynote speaker Louise Pulford, the executive director of the Social Innovation Exchange, will kick off proceedings by sharing her take on the role played by collaboration in the discovery and dissemination of good ideas.

We also have keynote speakers representing each sector confirmed. Anna Fowlie, Chief Executive of SCVO will be representing the third sector; Dr Hock Tan from Edinburgh Napier University will represent the academic sector; Martin Ewart, CEO of Taranata Group will represent the business sector; and Judith Proctor, Chief Officer of Edinburgh City Health will represent the public sector.

We look forward to hosting you for an evening of conversation that will help us all shape the future of social innovation in Scotland.
