Posted: 29th August 2019

20/20 Productions, the award-winning communications, digital, film and event production agency, is an official business partner for the Scottish Chamber Orchestra (SCO) 2019/2020 Season.

Edinburgh, San Francisco and Dubai based 20/20 Productions are delighted to be welcomed into the group of Business Partners for the next Season, sponsoring performances with François Leleux in September 2019 and Maxim Emelyanychev in January 2020.

20/20 Productions’ sponsorship will receive match funding from the Culture & Business Fund Scotland (CBFS), a programme funded by the Scottish Government and managed by independent charity Arts & Business Scotland with the aim of encouraging closer collaboration between Scotland’s business community and the arts and heritage sectors.

Alastair Scott, Managing Director of 20/20 Productions, said: “The values of the Orchestra are very similar to our own – creative excellence, innovation, teamworking and contributing to our community. This has resonated with us and we will be making films for the Orchestra during our sponsor journey. The match funding from the CBFS programme has played a valuable role in helping us to maximise the multiple benefits of this partnership for all concerned.

“It has been a joy to work with the SCO so far producing videos promoting their summer tours and we look forward to the months ahead.

To open the 2019/20 Season, the Orchestra welcomes the 2019 International Classical Music Awards ‘Artist of the Year’ Javier Perianes, and conductor François Leleux, renowned for bringing “bigger-than life personality” to his performances (Chicago Classical Review).

David Nelson, Partnerships Manager of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra said: “We are absolutely delighted to be exploring our new partnership with 20/20 Productions and together helping to promote everything the SCO does through the medium of film. It is also fantastic to have been awarded a match funding grant from the Culture & Business Fund Scotland to enable 20/20 Productions to sponsor a second week of concerts in our 2019/20 Season.”

Carl Watt, Head of Programmes at Arts & Business Scotland, said: “By utilising their expertise in film-making to help bring the work of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra vividly to life, 20/20 Productions are demonstrating how much can be achieved by business and culture working creatively together in partnership. Seeing the level of exposure 20/20 Productions are already enjoying through their collaboration with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, I hope other businesses will be inspired to look more closely at the opportunities and benefits they could get out of sponsoring heritage and the arts and participating in the CBFS programme.”
