The Promoting Diversity in the Workplace programme has been awarded funding from BERR to market, diagnose, design and deliver quality, cost effective development programmes and training to meet the needs of members of Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, the wider business community and agencies.
The programme aims to promote the Age Regulations to businesses, not just to let them know what they have to do, but also to let them see why it is right from both a commercial and social angle.
The key to the success of the programme will be that companies integrate age equality right across their business operations and in all their people on a voluntary basis. We aim to demonstrate to businesses that age equality should be built into flexible working practices.
