If you're looking to take your business forward and trade internationally the prospect may appear daunting.
It's not only the physical barriers that can make things difficult - languages, licenses and transport are just a few of the obstacles that can hinder access to a wider market and more profitable business.
Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce's International Department can provide you with a range of information and advisory services:
- Export Documentation
- We provide advice on worldwide export documentation requirements and trade regulations.
- Skills Development and Customised Training Services
- We deliver possibly the widest range of specialist international trade training services in Scotland.
- International Trade On-Line
- A custom built web-based learning tool encompassing documentation, letters of credit, international trade law and Incoterms 2000.
- Europe Direct Relay Centre
- Europe Direct is part of a EU-wide information network that acts as an interface between businesses/citizens and the European Union at local level. As part of our network of networks we are aiming to feed out and collect information and opinions. We will use all our offices to display EU publications and to hold events. We are a source of funding information and advice and assist businesses to find partners for projects. We are able to deal with requests for information - by phone or e-mail.
- Other Services
- We are one of only two Scottish providers of internationally recognised export qualifications. We also offer a range of diagnostic, counselling and consultancy services.
Our Livingston-based team are all members of The Institute of Export and have a wealth of experience in international trade related matters.
