As part of Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce the Edinburgh Ethnic Enterprise Initiative is a specialist service catering for the interests of ethnic businesses and aims to bridge the gap between ethnic communities and mainstream businesses, in and around the Edinburgh & Lothians area.
The Ethnic Enterprise Initiative works in conjunction with local and central government and other business organisations to raise awareness of issues that have an affect on businesses. Current issues include Talent in Diversity, Islamic Finance and Entrepreneurialism amongst second and third generation ethnic communities.
The ethnic enterprise policy group provides a strong voice to represent the varying needs of the ethnic business community, bringing together a cross-section of ethnic businesses and professionals. We develop strategies and deliver business support services to improve the competitiveness of ethnic businesses in the city.
