Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service partners with Scottish chambers to boost productivity

Date: 19 August 2008

The Manufacturing Advisory Service (SMAS) is teaming up with a number of Scottish chambers to run local events for manufacturers who want to improve their business.

From September 2008, SMAS will run six events across Scotland specifically for chamber members, hosted by chambers in West Lothian, Renfrewshire, Aberdeen, Dundee & Angus, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Ayrshire and Lanarkshire.

Manufacturers of all kinds are invited to learn how to make their businesses more efficient, productive and profitable. The events will look at best practice techniques within the manufacturing sector, and a more detailed consultation on specific aspects of your business will also be available. In addition, SMAS offers Scottish manufacturers a free one-day review, which can be followed up with up to 20 days of productivity improvement support.

All Edinburgh Chamber members are able to access these events and services free of charge. Dates have not been set yet, but if you are interested, contact SMAS directly on www.ScottishMAS.com for more information.
