TPT

The Prince’s Trust is currently looking for potential employers to host front of house hospitality placements for any 5 days between Saturday 9th July and Sunday 17th July inclusive.  The placements are for unemployed young people aged 18 to 25 taking part in a Get into Hospitality programme designed for entering a wet-led hospitality role.

Get Into Hospitality is a an intensive 4-week course running late June to mid-July.  The placements enable young people to gain practical work experience after completing intensive training leading to the following qualifications and skills:

  • Level 1 BIIAB Award in Customer & Drinks Service
  • Professional Bartenders Qualification
  • Level 1 BIIAB Award in Licensed Premises Staff
  • World Host principles in customer service
  • Food Hygiene Qualification

Prospective employers are encouraged to consider a work placement as part of an interview process with the potential to recruit if the placement goes well.  The placement itself is unpaid and all travel expenses are covered.

Young people taking part go through a competitive selection process involving one-to-one interviews and attendance at a group selection event.
