Legal Advice Line Service
The Chamber Legal Advice Line Service provides free 24 hour, 7 days a week confidential advice on a comprehensive range of legal and accountancy matters including: Employment Health & Safety, Tax & VAT, Data Protection, Property Contractual, Debt Recovery and other related matters.
Legal Expenses Insurance
90 days after commencement of membership, complimenting the Advice Line service, each member company will be entitled to complimentary insurance cover up to £65,000 in respect of Employment Representation, Prosecution Defence for employers and employees, Personal Injury claims, Business Motoring Claims, Protection of Licenses Disputes, Data Protection litigation, Tax, VAT, PAYE and NIC investigations including Inland Revenue Schedule D and Corporation Tax Investigations.
Please note member companies making a claim will be liable to an excess of £1500 on a 'per incident' basis. IN ORDER TO ENSURE CONTINUITY OF COVER UNDER THE INSURANCE POLICY IT IS IMPORTANT THAT MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE RECEIVED BY THE DUE DATE. FAILURE TO PAY SUBSCRIPTIONS IN TIME COULD CONSTITUTE AN INTERRUPTION IN COVER. WHILST COVER WILL BE REINSTATED ONCE AN OVERDUE SUBSCRIPTION IS RECEIVED, LATE PAYMENT COULD CAUSE YOU TO ENTER A NEW WAITING PERIOD OF 90 DAYS FOR EMPLOYMENT DISPUTES COVER AND 60 DAYS FOR TAX & VAT COVER.
