Fully incorporated into the Edinburgh Chamber and charted in 1852, the Leith Chamber of Commerce retains its own identity and sphere of influence in Leith, which like Edinburgh has continued to enjoy a healthy growing economy both on economic and commercial terms.
Leith Chamber provided a high level of support in the late 1990s to the bid for the Royal Yacht Britannia, which now resides alongside the state of the art Ocean Terminal complex, offering visitors and locals alike superior leisure opportunities for entertainment, shopping and dining experiences against the superb shore line of the Port of Leith.
Already home to the Scottish Executive, and with a further major west shore development now in its initial stages, the future economic climate for Leith continues to look exciting.
With an ongoing anticipated influx of tourists coming through the port Terminal, Leith Chamber has an important objective to ensure that Leith maximises the many benefits to be gained in all areas of business and local community activities.
